Abstract

Abstract

This article focuses on the status of power of the Dominate regime during the Roman Empire. The results of the study showed that the Dominate regime originated in the reign of the Diocletian Emperor. It is intended to reform the Roman rule after the previous third-century crisis. As a result of his reforms, the power was divided between all four Augustus and Caesars in charge of their own territory. At the same time, as a result of the reform of the new government, there is a clear separation of power between civilians and the military. It also reduced the power of the old high-ranking government officials. In addition, the effect of this reform greatly influenced the status of the monarch, with the introduction of Roman religious institutions into the monarchy which resulted in a drastic change in the status of the king.
