Abstract

                This research has the objectives 1) to study the context of Krungching Subdistrict and Ramton Nokphithid folk performance of Krungching Subdistrict, Nopphitam District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, and 2) to develop Ramton Nokphithid folk performance curriculum of Krungching Subdistrict, Nopphitam District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. It was qualitative research which was cooperative action research, consisting of an analysis of related documents, field trips; small group meetings with teachers, community scholars, and relevant government agencies to develop a local curriculum and curriculum evaluation. The results of the research revealed that Krungching Subdistrict has history, natural environment, and cultural capital related to the story of World War II. Ramton Nokphithid was a folk play during that time. Nowadays, it becomes to play roles as folk performance. From the development of the curriculum, the structure of the course content consists of 4 learning units: My City, Krungching, Learn to sing and play songs, Creative art with Phithid bird and Publishing and continuing Ramton Nokphithid folk performance. The study period is 40 hours, with a total duration of 1 hour per week, totaling 40 weeks. From the curriculum experimentation and evaluation in a school, it was consistent and suitable for the learners. It may also be adjusted to the context of the course of each school in Krungching Subdistrict area.
