Common Errors in English Writing and Suggested Solutions of Thai University Students

Abstract

This paper aims to review the studies of errors analysis in English writing of Thai university students during the past decade. After studying and reviewing the studies of errors analysis in English writing of Thai university students during the past decade, it was revealed that the errors of grammar and lexis, first language interference and writing organization are three main errors detected from Thai university students’ writing. The paper will also review the difficulty in English writing, the significance of error analysis and the error analysis in English writing studied in Thailand. The implications for English writing teaching for Thai university students are also discussed.
