Abstract

บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาถึงวิถีชีวิตเถ้าแก่ไร่อ้อย  ความสำเร็จ ปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการประกอบธุรกิจ  ผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลักคือเถ้าแก่ไร่อ้อย ชาวไร่อ้อย และผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้อง อำเภอท่าม่วง จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี  จำนวน 23 คน ใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ด้วยวิธีวิทยาการศึกษาประวัติชีวิตและเรื่องเล่า โดยการสัมภาษณ์และการสังเกตแบบไม่มีส่วนร่วม ผลการวิจัยพบว่า เถ้าแก่ไร่อ้อยเป็นผู้ที่มีความสำคัญในการจัดส่งอ้อยเข้าสู่โรงงานน้ำตาล   การประกอบธุรกิจเป็นแบบครอบครัว  หรือการสืบทอดกิจการ  เริ่มต้นอาชีพจากความทะเยอะทะยาน ต้องการมีฐานะที่ดีเพื่อสร้างอนาคตให้กับครอบครัว  เถ้าแก่ ไร่อ้อยมี  2 ประเภท คือ แบบมีลูกไร่ และแบบไม่มีลูกไร่  เงินที่ใช้ดำเนินธุรกิจใช้เงินทุนส่วนตัวกับการกู้ยืมจากโรงงานน้ำตาล  หรือกู้จากธนาคาร  การเก็บเกี่ยวผลผลิตมี 3 ลักษณะ คือ ใช้แรงงานคน  ใช้แรงงานคนกับรถตัดอ้อย  และใช้รถตัดอ้อยอย่างเดียว  ลักษณะการบริหารงานของเถ้าแก่แต่ละคนแตกต่างกันไปแล้วแต่ประสบการณ์และแนวความคิด  การประสบความสำเร็จขึ้นอยู่กับเป้าหมายของแต่บุคคลและกระบวนการคิดที่แตกต่างกัน  ผู้ที่ดำเนินธุรกิจมา 5 ปีขึ้นไปคิดว่าตัวเองประสบความสำเร็จแล้ว ปัญหาและอุปสรรค  มีด้านแรงงาน การเก็บเกี่ยว  ฤดูกาล  ราคาปุ๋ย  การบริหารงาน  และราคาน้ำตาล แต่ปัญหาต่างๆ ไม่ทำให้การดำเนินธุรกิจขาดทุน เนื่องจากการลงทุนปลูกอ้อยครั้งหนึ่งสามารถเก็บผลผลิตได้ 3-5 ครั้งตามสภาพการดูแลและการบริหารงาน

ABSTRACT

This paper aims to study “life history and narrative of sugar-cane entrepreneur” by focused on success, problems and obstacles in this business. The survey was conducted with 23 participants included sugar-cane entrepreneur, sugar-cane growers and people who lived in Amphur Thamuang, Changwat Kanchanaburi. This research was qualitative research. Data were collected by participant observation and autobiography interview methods. The research revealed that the essential of sugar-cane entrepreneur, the   way of life and family business that was precisely driven by needs and ambition. There were 2 types of sugar-cane entrepreneur, who act as a middleman and production enterprise and production enterprise only. In term of investment, it was concerned on their investment with loan from sugar factory or loan from Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Co-operative. In additional, the harvest contained of 3 options; labors, labors with sugar-cane thumper and sugar-cane thumper only. Although, the vision, experience and management lead entrepreneur to succeed, there had some serious conditions barriers obstruct on management, labour, harvest, season, and pricing of both fertilizer and sugar aspects. However, under all conditions are not affected to lose in investment because a sugar-cane plant can be harvested 3-5 times.
