บทความเรื่อง ความเป็นมาของปฏิทินแห่งสาธารณรัฐ เป็นเรื่องที่น่าสนใจ แต่ไม่มีใครเขียน อาจเป็นเพราะเป็นปฏิทินที่เลิกใช้ไปนาน 200 กว่าปีแล้ว เป็นความพยายามของมนุษย์ที่พยายามจะปลดอดีต คือวัฒนธรรมศาสนาคริสต์ออกไป แต่ในที่สุดก็ทำไม่สำเร็จ เพราะศาสนาคริสต์ฝังรกรากในฝรั่งเศสนานเกือบ 2 พันปี ยากที่จะละทิ้งเสียใด้

Abstract

The article entitled: “The Origin of the Republican Calendar” is an interesting article. Nevertheless, if nobody had written before about that topic, it is probably because that calendar was abolished more than 200 years ago. The Republican Calendar was an attempt by the people to emancipate itself from the domination of the Christian culture. Finally, this attempt was not carried out successfully as Christianity has been deeply rooted in France for more than 2,000 years and it was therefore almost impossible to get away from that reference.
