การดำรงชีพของชาวสวนผสมแบบยกร่องลุ่มน้ำแม่กลอง; Livelihoods of Fruit Orchard Farmers within the Mae Klong Ecosystem

Abstract

The concept of ‘Livelihoods’ for this phenomenology study focused on the selves’ experience of orchard farmers. The units of analysis are individual, household, community and network. The study try to explore capabilities of orchard farmers on applying assets/resources for their livelihoods, coping and resilience from shocks, maintenance and enhancing their capabilities and assets, and accessing to resources/assets and services from society. The livelihood assets which orchard farmers apply are consisted of: natural capital; physical capital consists infrastructures which need for livelihoods; financial capital; human capital consists knowledge, skills and capabilities; and social capital consists networks and their relationships that enhance trust and participating in common activities. Accessing to those assets/resources which regulated by social institutes and relationships are included. The components of these social structures are important for differential decision making behavior of households and the members. Analyzing to this phenomena will help us have more understanding on the complexity of livelihood strategies of the orchards farmers.

บทคัดย่อ

มโนทัศน์การดำรงชีพให้ความสำคัญกับการศึกษาชาวสวนในประสบการณ์จริงระดับปัจเจกครอบครัว ชุมชน และเครือข่ายโดยพิจารณาความสามารถของชาวสวนในการประยุกต์ใช้ทรัพยากรเพื่อการดำรงชีพการรับมือและฟื้นฟูจากความตึงเครียด  ความสามารถที่จะธำรงรักษา  เพิ่มพูนความสามารถและทรัพยากรไว้รวมทั้งการเข้าถึงทรัพยากรและบริการต่างๆของสังคม  ทรัพยากรที่ชาวสวนใช้ประกอบด้วยทุนทางทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ  ทุนทางกายภาพ  โครงสร้างพื้นฐานที่จำเป็นต่อการดำรงชีพ  ทุนทางการเงิน  ทุนทรัพยากรมนุษย์ในด้านทักษะ  ความรู้  ความสามารถและทุนทางสังคม  เครือข่าย  ความสัมพันธ์ซึ่งช่วยเพิ่มความไว้วางใจในการร่วมมือกันทำกิจกรรม  รวมทั้งการเข้าถึงทรัพยากรต่างๆ ซึ่งถูกควบคุมกำกับโดยสถาบันและความสัมพันธ์ทางสังคม     องค์ประกอบเชิงโครงสร้างของสังคมมีความสำคัญต่อพฤติกรรมการตัดสินใจที่แตกต่างของครัวเรือนและสมาชิกในครัวเรือน  การวิเคราะห์ดังกล่าวจะช่วยให้เข้าใจกลยุทธ์การดำรงชีพของชาวสวนที่มีความซับซ้อนมากยิ่งขึ้น
