ชื่อเมืองในประเทศเยอรมนีที่สัมพันธ์กับแม่น้ำ; Germany’s City Names Related to Rivers

Abstract

       การตั้งชื่อเมืองของแต่ละประเทศนั้นสะท้อนให้เห็นวัฒนธรรมการใช้ภาษาและยังแสดงลักษณะภูมิประเทศ เนื่องจากชื่อสถานที่ทางธรรมชาติเหล่านี้มักจะถูกนำมาตั้งเป็นชื่อเมืองด้วย ประเทศเยอรมนีตั้งชื่อที่สัมพันธ์กับแม่น้ำจำนวนมาก ดังนั้น บทความนี้จะอธิบายชื่อเมืองของประเทศเยอรมนีที่เชื่อมโยงกับแม่น้ำ โดยการรวบรวมชื่อเมือง (Kreis) ทั้งหมดของประเทศสหพันธ์สาธารณรัฐเยอรมนีและนำมาคัดเลือกเฉพาะชื่อเมืองที่มีคำที่แสดงความสัมพันธ์กับแม่น้ำในลักษณะต่าง ๆ

       ผลการศึกษาพบว่าชื่อเมืองที่มีคำแสดงความเชื่อมโยงกับแม่น้ำมีทั้งสิ้นจำนวน  จำนวน 73 เมือง  แบ่งออกเป็น ชื่อเมืองที่ปรากฏชื่อแม่น้ำ จำนวน 54 เมือง  ชื่อเมืองที่ปรากฏแหล่งกำเนิดของแม่น้ำ จำนวน 7 เมือง  ชื่อเมืองที่ปรากฏชื่อลำธาร จำนวน 5 เมือง และชื่อเมืองที่ปรากฏชื่อแม่น้ำร่วมกับภูเขา จำนวน 7 เมือง  ชื่อเมืองที่ปรากฏในปัจจุบันนั้นส่วนใหญ่เป็นคำศัพท์โบราณที่มีรากศัพท์มาจากภาษาของท้องถิ่นต่าง ๆ และมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงการออกเสียงไปจากอดีตทำให้ไม่สามารถสืบค้นความหมายของชื่อเมืองบางเมืองได้ในภาษาเยอรมนี ดังนั้น ผลการศึกษานี้จึงสะท้อนให้เห็นวัฒนธรรมการตั้งชื่อที่อยู่อาศัยหรือชุมชนโดยใช้คำศัพท์เกี่ยวกับแม่น้ำในลักษณะต่างๆ มาตั้งเป็นชื่อเมือง แสดงให้เห็นว่าชาวเยอรมนีให้ความสำคัญกับแม่น้ำซึ่งเป็นสายเลือดของประเทศเยอรมนี

Abstract
       The name of each country illustrates the culture of the language and also shows landscape because these nature place names were often named
of city or village. In Germany have many cities’ name taken from the river name. Therefore, this article will explain the name of city in Germany connecting with the river.
       This study collected data from city names (Kreis) of Germany. Then
select the specific name with the relationship with the various aspects of the
river. The study found that there are 73 Kries linked the rivers. They are divided into 4 categories. That is 54 Kries taken the river’s name, 7 Kries taken rever’s headwater, 5 Kries taken stream’s name, and 7 Kries mixed between name of river and mountain. In the present the Kries’s name mostly is derived from the local language and changed the spelling and pronunciation from the past time therefore some names cannot be searched their meaning in German language.
       The results of this study display the cultural residential name of German by use river name near their community. Some a Kries name use more than one river name or use name of the mountain and river to be named their place. These names shown that how German people emphasize of geography and nature by use their name to be place name.
