Abstract

Enhancing the capabilities and strengthening the competencies of the Office of the Attorney General to effectively respond to societal and national demands require, it is essential to integrate modern technology into its operations to improve efficiency and expedite processes. This includes administering justice, safeguarding state interests, protecting rights and freedoms, and providing legal assistance to the public. The adoption of advanced technology will support the development of work processes that align with both current and future societal advancements. This study aims to achieve the following objectives: 1) To examine the levels of perceived usefulness, attitude toward use, perceived ease of use, and behavioral intention to use the e-service of the Office of the Attorney General, based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM).  2) To examine the influence of perceived usefulness, attitude toward use, and perceived ease of use on consumers' behavioral intention to use the e-service of the Office of the Attorney General, based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). 3) To develop a behavioral intention model for using the e-service of the Office of the Attorney General, based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM).  This study employs a mixed-method research approach, integrating both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. The quantitative study involves a sample of 320 individuals aged 20 years and older residing in nine provinces within the jurisdiction of Attorney Region 1, namely Chainat, Nakhon Nayok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Lopburi, Saraburi, Singburi, and Ang Thong. The sample size was determined based on the criterion of 20 times the number of observed variables, applying a purposive sampling method. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using structural equation modeling.  For the qualitative study, in-depth interviews were conducted with 17 key informants, including executives and officials from the Office of the Attorney General. The findings reveal that: 1) Perceived usefulness, attitude toward use, perceived ease of use, and behavioral intention to use the e-service of the Office of the Attorney General, based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), are at a high level.  2) Perceived usefulness, attitude toward use, and perceived ease of use significantly influence behavioral intention to use the e-service of the Office of the Attorney General, based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), at a statistical significance level of 0.05.  3) The researcher developed a behavioral intention model for using the e-service of the Office of the Attorney General, named the "BIU Model" (Behavioral Intention to Use).  Additionally, qualitative findings suggest that enhancing behavioral intention to use the e-service of the Office of the Attorney General requires the promotion of ethical and moral integrity in service delivery alongside advancements in modern digital technologies for public convenience and efficiency. The Office of the Attorney General must also focus on developing its human resources' digital skills to maximize operational effectiveness. The results of this study provide valuable insights for policymakers in formulating strategies to enhance behavioral intention to use the e-service of the Office of the Attorney General in its pursuit of organizational excellence
