The purposes of the development of school supervision on teaching management at Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) 4 school

Abstract

The purposes of the development of school supervision on teaching management at Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) 4 school were to;  1) develop the school supervision  and 2) study the effects of school supervision process by applying Research and Development approach. The Samples  of this study were;  1) 3 teachers who instructed grade 9^th students in Basic English course and  2) 233 of grade 9^th  students in academic year 2023. The sampling applied in this study was cluster random sampling. The instruments implied to this study were school supervision on teaching management assessment form, problem and needs analysis interview form, teaching management evaluation form, leaning outcome in basic English evaluation form, students’ satisfaction questionaires, and teachers’ satisfaction questionaires. The statistic used in this study were; T-test (one-sample T-test) and T-test for independent sample and the content analysis was analized to find out qualitative data.

The results of this study were as follows;

1. 7 experts agreed that the school supervision on teaching management

at Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) 4 School was appropriate and practical at high level and each element was consistent. In addition, the school supervision included 6 steps;  1) Management by data (M),  2) Planing  (P),  3) Informing (I) which consisted of 5 steps in teaching; a) Motivation, b) Mind-Mapping, c) Integrating, d) Learning by doing and e) Practicing,  4) Allocating Resource (A), 5) Doing (D)  and 6) Assessing Process (A)

1. After the school supervision on teaching management, the results

showed that;

• Teachers’ teaching efficiency was at the acceptable level.
• Grade 9^th students had higher post-test mean score in English

than the pre-test mean score at the statistic significant level 0.05.

• Students’ satisfaction toward teachers who had participated

in school supervision was at the highest level which was different from the standard criteria at the statistic significant level at 0.05 and was considered higher than the standard criteria.

• Grade 9^th students in academic year 2023 had higher mean

score on English in the National Test than the whole country’s mean score.

The study and Development in school supervision on teaching management at Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) 4 School is an approach that should be continued developing and applied in other supervision for teachers in different departments at Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) 4 School.
