Factors Affecting Competitive Advantage of Restuarant Business in Phathumthani Province
Abstract
The purposes of this research were: 1) to study factors affecting competitive advantage of restaurant business in Phathumthani Province; 2) to compare factors affecting restaurant business in Phathumthani Province; 3) to study problems in restaurant operation in Phathumthani Province. Samples were 270 restaurant’s owners and managers in Phathumthani Province by multi-stage sampling. Data collection was a questionnaire with a reliability of 0.916. Statistical analysis were percentage, mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, and F test (One-way ANOVA).
The results revealed that;
- Overall, factors affecting competitive advantage of restaurant business was at a high level.
- 2. Factors affecting restaurant business compared by gender, age, education level, and type of restaurant were not significant different.
- 3. Problems of restaurant operation include 1) low sale volume; 2) lack of raw material; 3) street food in tourist promotion affected restaurant operation; 4) delivery food also affected to restaurant business; and 5) recession economy and new competitors also affected to restaurant business.
