A Model of Watphra Chetuphon (Wat Pho) Traditional Medicine School Management

This research aimed to develop a model of Watphra Chetuphon (Wat Pho) Traditional Medicine School management. The research procedure divided into 3 phases: phase 1 to study the state of Wat Pho Traditional Medicine School management by studying documents and researches, also, interviews 7 people consisted of school administrators, school committee, chief executive and teachers of Watphra Chetuphon (Wat Pho); phase 2 development and confirm for model of Watphra Chetuphon (Wat Pho) Traditional Medicine School Management: accuracy and suitability by 9 experts using interview form; and phase 3 evaluate the model of Watphra Chetuphon (Wat Pho) by 25 people using evaluation form. The qualitative data analyzed by using content analysis and quantitative data analyzed by using a computer programmer. The statistics of data analysis were mean and Standard Deviation.
The research results indicate that: 1) the state of general management of Wat Pho: administrators set up management systems of school building and school environment, personnel: continuous human resource development, academic affairs management: curriculum development related to needs of learners all time, and finance: systematic Management and accountability. 2) A model of Wat Pho Traditional Medicine School Management consisted of 3 main components: component 1 main mission of school have 4 aspects: general, personnel, academic affairs, and budget; component 2 school management process have 4 steps: planning, doing, checking, and acting; and component 3 the support factors of effectiveness management have 4 aspects: leadership of administrators; knowledge, abilities, and teaching skills of teachers, building, location and equipment readiness; and the support of related agencies. And 3) the evaluation results both components: the utility and feasibility of the model in overall were at the highest level.
