Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study psychological and situational factors that are related to mathematics learning behavior of students under the Office of Suphanburi Educational Service Area 3 and to identify equations that can predict Psychological and situational factors that are related to mathematics learning behavior of junior high school students under the Office of Suphanburi Educational Service Area 3. The samples used in this research were 306 junior high school students applying multi-step randomization. The research instruments were a questionnaires. The statistics employed in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. Pearson correlation coefficient and Stepwise multiple regression analysis.

  1. 1. The results showed that the internal correlation coefficient of the studied variable and mathematics learning behavior was between .175 and .823. The students are future-oriented and self-control (x1), achievement -motivation (x2), self-confident (x3), other friend revealed the following (x4), student and math teacher relationship (x5), student-peer relationship (x6) ,democratic parenting (x7), attitude to mathematics (x8) The positive correlation with mathematics learning behavior was significant different at .01 level
  2. Analysis of predictive equations with stepwised method found that the 5 parameter variables could be learning behavior of 85.80 (R2=. 858). The independent variable could best to describe the dependent variables such as self-confidence (x3) with significant self-determination and self-control (x1), student- Mathematics teacher relationship (x5), self-control (x2), attitude to Mathematics (x8). Can be written as a forecasting equation for Math learning behavior in raw score form and standardized score as follows: The equation construction of the regressive prediction of raw and standardized scores were:

           The predictive equation of raw scores were:

                Y = .062 + .738x3 + .762x1.+ .318x5 + .195x2 + .150x8

         The standard scores predictive equation:

               ZY = .848x3 + .764x1 + .327x5 + .231x2 + .174x8
