The effects of international food cooking activities through demonstration teaching to enhance preschool children’s basic mathematics abilities, BFS School, Nonthaburi Province

This research aimed to compare preschool children’s basic mathematics abilities before and after implementation of international food cooking activities through demonstration teaching. The population consisted boys and girls, of 7 preschool children, aged 3-4 years, studied in Preschool level 1 in the second semester of the academic year 2024 at BFS School in Nonthaburi Province. The research instruments were 24 lesson plans on international food cooking activities through demonstration teaching and the preschool children’s basic mathematics abilities test with 4 aspects, 5 items per each aspect, totaling 20 items, with a consistency index (IOC) of 1.00. The experiment duration was 8 weeks, 3 days a week, with 40 minutes each, during the experience enhancement activities. The statistics used for data analysis were mean and standard deviation.
The results found that preschool children after implementation of international food cooking activities through demonstration teaching had higher basic mathematics abilities than before the experiment.
