Development of video micro-learning with activity-based learning concept on Chinese Dance to enhance the creative ability of undergraduate students at Jiangxi Institute of Applied Science and Technology

The objectives of this study were to: 1) develop video micro learning with activity-based learning concept on Chinese dance to enhance the creative ability of undergraduate students at Jiangxi Institute of Applied Science and Technology University, 2) compare the creative ability of Chinese dance of students between pre-test and post-test scores, and 3) study the satisfaction of students who used video micro learning with activity-based learning concept on Chinese dance. The sample group included 30 1st year students enrolled in Chinese Dance subject of major of Dance, Faculty of Music Dance at Jiangxi Institute of Applied Science and Technology University, China, during the academic year 2025. They were selected
by purposive sampling method. The research instruments consisted of 1) video micro learning with activity-based learning concept on Chinese dance, 2) a set of content and media quality questionnaire, 3) a set of questionnaires of the creative ability of Chinese dance, and 4) a set of questionnaires of student’s satisfaction.
The research results revealed that: 1) An evaluation of the content quality on video micro learning by the experts showed the appropriateness at the excellent level (=4.67, S.D. = 0.45) and an evaluation of media quality by the experts also showed the appropriateness at the good level (
= 4.33, S.D. = 0.40). 2) The post-test scores of the creative ability of Chinese dance test were higher than the pre-test scores at the statistical significance level of .05. 3) The students satisfaction on using video micro learning was at a very high level (
=4.68, S.D. = 0.47).
