FACTORS AFFECTING THE HAPPINESS OF PEOPLE IN NONG FAI SUBDISTRICT LAO KHWAN DISTRICT, KANCHANABURI PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research article were: 1) to examine the level of factors affecting the happiness of the people in Nongfai subdistrict, 2) to investigate the level of happiness of the people in Nongfai subdistrict, 3) to study the factors affecting the happiness of the people in Nongfai subdistrict, and 4) to explore recommendations regarding the factors affecting the happiness of the people in Nongfai subdistrict, Laokhwan district, Kanchanaburi province.  This is a quantitative research study. The population and sample are representatives of households in Nongfai subdistrict, with a total population of 1,981 people and a sample size of 333 people, calculated using Taro Yamane's formula. Data was collected using a questionnaire, and analyzed using statistical techniques such as frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple linear regression analysis at a statistical significance level of .05.

          The research findings indicate that: 1) the level of factors affecting the happiness of the people in Nongfai subdistrict is generally at a high level, 2) the level of happiness of the people in Nongfai subdistrict is overall at the highest level, 3) the factors affecting the happiness of the people in Nongfai subdistrict have a multiple correlation coefficient of .783 (R = .783), and all independent variables can explain 61.3% of the variation in the dependent variable (R2 = .613, F = 103.779), suggesting that the independent variables significantly impact the happiness of the people in Nongfai subdistrict, and 4) the recommendations include promoting the cultivation of pesticide-free vegetables, supporting the establishment of a safe food market, and deploying patrol teams to monitor the area during critical times.
