PROBLEM AND NEEDS OF THE PEOPLE THAT AFFECT THE PUBLIC ROADS OF THE NONG LU SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION SANGKHLABULI DISTRICT, KANCHANABURI PROVINCE

Abstract

Abstract

          The objectives of this research article were: 1) to examine the level of problems the people have towards public roads in Nonglu Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sangkhlaburi dstrict, Kanchanaburi province., 2) to investigate the level of needs the people have towards the public roads, 3) to study the level of the public roads, 4) to investigate the problems and needs of the people that affect public roads, and 5) to explore suggestions for solving the problems and needs of citizens regarding public roads in Nonglu Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sangkhlaburi district, Kanchanaburi province. This was a quantitative research study. The population and sample included household representatives of people in Nonglu subdistrict, with a total population of 6,357 people and a sample size of 377 people, calculated using Taro Yamane's formula. Data was collected using questionnaires and analyzed using statistical techniques such as frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and linear multiple regression analysis using the Enter method at a statistical significance level of .05.

          The research findings were as follows: 1) the level of people's problems with public roads is overall at a high level, 2) the level of people's needs that affect public roads is overall at a high level, 3) the level of public roads is overall at a high level, 4) the factors affecting public roads have a multiple correlation coefficient of .888 (R = .888), and all independent variables can explain 78.90% of the variation in the dependent variable (R2 = .789, F = 172.310), indicating that the independent variables significantly impact public roads, and 5) the suggestions for solving the problems and needs of citizens regarding public roads include conducting a survey of route needs from people within the subdistrict before construction, and designing road construction to suit the usage patterns in the area.
