Abstract

               This study is to analyze the structure of Jataka tales version of the Department of Educational by using theory of Vladimir Propp, found that  Jataka tales has a different way from Russia to Propp studied for two reasons : 1) Russian fairy tale characters The behavior of the characters, great parties. It was concluded, however good behavior, but The Jataka Tales of Thailand The purpose is to teach about the penalty for bad behavior.  It showed bad behavior than good behavior.  2) This Jataka tale has function not found in function of Russian fairy tales based on the theory of Propp. There is a mindfulness, wisdom, truth and honesty.  This may be a characteristic of the Jataka tales. Wants to teach it to behave as a good person.
