Abstract
This article is a review of a book entitled “The Conduct of Inquiry in International Relations: Philosophy of Science and Its Implications for the Study of World Politics'' written by Patrick Thaddeus Jackson Patrick discusses four types of philosophical wagers: 1.Neopositivism 2.Critical Realism 3.Analyticism and 4.Reflexivity. These wagers are used as positions to pursue knowledge in international relations that is one of social sciences approaches.
