Duties of Authors

  1. 1. Authors must certify that the submitted work is derived from the factual findings of their study, with no distortion of data and no falsified information.
  2. 2. The author's work must not have been previously published or disseminated elsewhere.
  3. 3. Authors must not plagiarize the work of others, and must provide a citation whenever the work of others is presented or referred to within the content of their own article.
  4. 4. Should it come to the journal's attention that an author has plagiarized, submitted the same work concurrently to another journal, or that the work has been published previously, the journal reserves the right to reject, cancel, and retract the article in question, and to notify the parties concerned and / or the author's affiliated institution, depending on the severity of the case.
  5. 5. Authors must consider and certify matters relating to human research ethics and/or other research ethics applicable to their research.

Duties of Editor

  1. 1. The editor is responsible for considering and screening every article submitted for publication in the journal, assessing whether the content of the article is consistent with the aims and scope of the journal, and for verifying the quality of the article throughout the review process and prior to publication.
  2. 2. The editor must apply academic reasoning in every editorial decision, without bias toward the article or the author on grounds of race, gender, religion, culture, politics, or institutional affiliation.
  3. 3. The editor is responsible for running the journal in accordance with its objectives, and for improving and developing the journal to meet standards on a consistent basis.
  4. 4. During the review process, the editor must not disclose information about the author or the reviewers to any other unrelated party.
  5. 5. The editor does not publish their own articles in the journal, in order to prevent conflicts of interest.

Duties of Reviewers

  1. 1. Reviewers must give primary consideration to the quality of the article, evaluating it on academic principles and reasoning, free from bias or personal opinion, and must have no vested interest in relation to the author.
  2. 2. Reviewers must have no conflict of interest with the author, nor any other reason that would prevent them from giving comments independently. Where such a situation exists, the reviewer must inform the journal editor and decline to review that article.
  3. 3. Reviewers should review articles in the field in which they have expertise, judging primarily on the quality of the article, and must not use unsupported personal opinion as a criterion for evaluating the article.
  4. 4. If a reviewer finds that any part of the article under review is identical to or duplicates another work, the reviewer must inform the editor.
  5. 5. Reviewers must complete their review within the review period specified, and must not disclose information about the article to any unrelated party.
