information of the history and evolution of digital game to understand easier. 2) The information of history
and evolution of digital games compared to the development of style and technology from 1889 to 2011.

explain the information and search content easier. By research form history of game book and website that
related to be summarized and designed as an electronic book. Illustration design for develop an electronic
book that used 3d image instead of drawing or picture to be able to create animations that are interesting
to readers of electronic books. According to the study the history of the game from any books and the
related website. Researcher has concluded the divide period of games that release on the market since
1889-2011 and evolution of game was the 8 generations.(Steven Kent ,2011)
1st Generation: Early 1976
The Magnavox Odyssey is a world's first video game console that was launched in April and has
sold in August of the same year.
2nd Generation: 1977-1982
Leading gaming company Atari has launched Atari2600 in1977. As gaming systems use
microprocesser processing and use the cartridge games to play, so popular at the time.
3rd Generation: 1983-1988
Namco has manufacturing games Pac-Man came out and was very popular. It became a symbol of
the beginning of digital games to this date.
4th Generation: 1989-1994
The Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) has manufacturing Famicom and help the game in the
US with the problem in 1983 has returned to be popular again. That became a standard model of
the game machine in later releases.
5th Generation: 1995-1999
Snake games on a Nokia mobile phone has became a mobile phones games in the first. It became
the prototype of the next generation mobile games.
6th Generation: 2000-2004
The PlayStation2 was released that year in 2000. And has been so popular that top sales of the
game machine produced.
7th Generation: 2005-2006
Angry Birds games have been popular as a game with a 1 in 10 to download the app on smart
phone that year
8th Generation: 2007-2011
app and games on mobile phones have evolved into a popular and widespread formats.
Conclusion this E-book The History and Evolution of Digital Games are divided into eight main
chapters. According the time of changed the game of each eight generations. Each chapter contains a list of
consoles and popular games at that time of the electronic book format to use three-dimensional animation
