Impressive Lanna Artists as Role Models for the Creation of Contemporary Art
This study, Impressive Lanna Artists as Role Models for the Creation of Contemporary Art, is an art creative research. It uses an interdisciplinary study model by presenting research findings in a descriptive form and creative works of art. The purpose of this study was to study the role models from mass media who are artists in the North under the cultural context that expresses the work, concept, and way of life to the creation of contemporary art. This was conducted by synthesizing the knowledge gained from the study as an inspiration in creating contemporary art and to be praised as a model in public places. From the study, it was found that three persons who were model images of Lanna artists were honored as national artists, namely: 1. Charin Nantanakorn, National Artist of the Year 1998 in Performing Arts; 2. In-son Wongsam, National Artist of the Year 1999, Visual Arts; and 3. Charoen Malarot, National Artist of the Year 2013, Literature. This is an inspiration for the creation of contemporary art through media art in the form of a video installation, telling a biography based on life, a work that is the identity of a role model, in 4 sets, displayed as a media art exhibition, Beloved one in a dream, to praise and disseminate the value of the role model artist to the public. The results of this art exhibition showed that there are constant visitors to the exhibition, including publicizing stories about the lives and works of the role models from the exhibition and social media.
