Elderly living space: preferences and needs of older persons in Bangkok metropolitan

บทคัดย่อ
เช่นเดียวกับประชากรของประเทศอื่น ๆ ทั่วโลกประชากรของประเทศไทยก็มีผู้สูงอายุเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง การศึกษานี้แสวงหาขนาดพื้นที่ที่เหมาะต่อการใช้งานสำหรับผู้สูงอายุในเขตกรุงเทพมหานครเป็นหลัก ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ความสนใจและกิจกรรมส่วนใหญ่ของผู้สูงอายุจะอยู่ในที่พักอาศัย พื้นที่จำเป็นโดยเฉลี่ยในลักษณะที่พักอาศัยขนาดเล็ก (Elder Cottage Housing Opportunity, ECHO) ที่ผู้สูงอายุต้องการ ได้แก่ ที่นอน ที่นั่งเล่น และห้องน้ำ มีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกที่จำเป็นเพื่อกำหนดขนาดที่พักอาศัยขนาดเล็กสำหรับผู้สูงอายุที่จะสร้างหรือปรับปรุงใหม่ คือ เตียงขนาดกว้าง 6 ฟุต ตู้เสื้อผ้า โซฟา เครื่องปรับอากาศ และพัดลม เครื่องปรับอากาศใช้เฉพาะกลางคืน ส่วนกลางวันใช้พัดลม ผู้สูงอายุชอบพื้นปูด้วยกระเบื้องเซรามิคพื้นผิวกันลื่น พื้นที่ส่วนใหญ่ต้องการหลอดฟลูออเรสเซนต์แสงสีขาว เนื่องจากให้ความสว่างทั่วถึงและไม่เกิดเงาภายในห้อง ส่วนอุปกรณ์ในห้องน้ำที่จำเป็น คือ ราวจับทรงตัวบริเวณอ่างล้างหน้า และบริเวณอาบน้ำ รวมถึงเก้าอี้นั่งอาบน้ำ โดยราคาที่พักอาศัยขนาดเล็กที่ครอบครัวหรือผู้สูงอายุสามารถสร้างหรือปรับปรุงใหม่อยู่ที่ 10 เท่าของรายได้ของครัวเรือน
