Website Development for Tourism Promotion and Miang Conservation of Mae Kampong Village

Abstract

The research aims to create a website to promote tourism and Miang conservation of Mae Kampong Village, Chiang Mai Province and to assess the satisfaction of the website users. The research team collected tourism information of the village and knowledge about Miang by using an on-site survey. Then, the researchers analyzed data and created a website named www.miangroute.com in order to provide knowledge about Miang conservation and to attract visitors. Subsequently, the website was tested to explore users’ satisfaction by using a questionnaire with 373 target visitors. The results indicated that the website users’ aggregate satisfaction was at a high level and they were satisfied with every sub-aspect at high level as well which included operation convenience and accessing speed, data completeness and design feature.
