Abstract

The objectives of the project entitled “A Process of Developing a Community Agricultural Garden Production and Product Processing Potentiality with the Participation of the Poonsup Community, Sai Mai District, Bangkok” were to 1) investigate the linkage of the first stage of the research and the present one, 2) empower Poonsup Community producer groups who are the members of the community agricultural garden to develop the system and the production process, and  to  3) analyze the community and the network participation in developing potentiality for the production process of the producer group members of Poonsup Community Agricultural Garden.  This research was a community-based research (CBR). The producer groups, the community agricultural garden members and the Poonsup Community members were the co-executors of the project.  The results showed the background and the linkage of the three stages of the research project consectively from 2559 - 2564 B.E.  Besides, the producer groups had opportunities to develop their potentials in the system and the production process by being aware of and giving importance to self-development; to have knowledge and skills in product processing, and be able to increase the products and product processing according to the purchasing orders received.  Further, the emphasis on the community participation in the production and production processing processes and the network participation in reinforcing the academic knowledge concerning the system and the production process led to many interesting programs, such as production skills training; book-keeping; marketing, and budget preparation. In addition, it was one of the mechanism to support the drive for the processed products to receive accreditation which could lead to the community enterprise registration later.
