Perceptions of Risk Factors in the Mission Implementation of the Employees in the Southern Private Institutions

This research aimed to study and compare the employees’ perceptions on risk factors on carrying out the organizations’ missions at private colleges and universities in the south of Thailand. The four major areas of investigation on such implementation include teaching, research, social services and cultural preservation. The samples of 222 employees were selected by using purposive sampling method. Arithmetic mean, standard deviation, One-way ANOVA and LSD post hoc multiple comparisons were applied in the data analysis.

The findings revealed that in general, the perceptions of risk factors on the four missions were ranked low. The risk related to teaching was the highest followed by cultural preservation, social services and research, respectively. There was no significant difference in the perception of risk related to mission implementation among the employees of different educational backgrounds, working experiences, positions and institutions. But the perception of teaching strategy risk was significantly difference between the employees with different working experiences at 0.05 level.
