Solutions of English Language Teaching and Learning Management Problems for Border Patrol Police Schools in Bueng Kan Province

Abstract

            The current study is qualitative research. It is aimed to examine the solution of teaching and learning management problems for primary students in Boarder Patrol Police Schools in Bueng Kan province. The population and target groups were 35 school administrators, teachers, and educational committee and data was collected from the target groups as follows; used the process of organizing a forum for small group discussion (Focus group) from stakeholders and main groups with qualified experts in teaching and learning to jointly consider finding solutions to solve problems in teaching and learning English. Helping with the participation process of teachers/instructors and school administrators by bringing together issues that are appropriate for problem solving using brainstorming methods by experts with expertise in teaching and learning management and teaching. English subject Qualitative data obtained from group discussions were analyzed using content analysis, including various suggestions, and then presented descriptively for discussion of the results.

            The results found that, the solutions to the problem include 1) developing curricula in collaboration with higher education institutions with local universities as mentors, 2) developing teachers and designing teaching and learning managements, prepare an action plan for developing teachers in the 21st century with modern teaching techniques and styles, 3) coordinate with schools in nearby areas to integrate lesson plans, teaching aids, and workshops for teacher development to students, and 4) driving the professional learning community for English teachers under the affiliation and outside the affiliation or network schools and co-developing schools by using the PLC process, English teachers with a participatory process.
