The Influence of Environmental Attitude as a Moderator on the Relationship Between the New Marketing Mix (4C’s) and Purchase Intention of Plant-
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aims to study the influence of environmental attitude as a moderating variable on the relationship between the modern marketing mix factors (4C’s) and the purchase intention of plant-based food (PBF). The study adopts a quantitative research approach. The sample consisted of 470 individuals in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region who had consumed, or were interested in, plant-based food. Data was collected using a questionnaire. The statistical methods used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed that: 1) The modern marketing mix factors (4C’s) have a positive influence on consumers’ purchase intention of plant-based food in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region, with an R² value of 0.733. When analyzing the individual components of the 4Cs- customer solution, cost, convenience, and communication, it was found that each factor positively influenced the purchase intention of plant-based food. 2) Environmental attitude did not serve as a significant moderating variable in the relationship between the 4C’s and consumers’ purchase intention of plant-based food in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region. Moreover, when analyzed by each factor of the 4C’s, environmental attitude still did not exhibit an apparent moderating effect.
