Publication Ethics
Editorial Ethics
The Editorial Board is responsible for assessing the quality of manuscripts submitted for publication in the journal. This process must be conducted impartially, without bias, conflicts of interest, or any attempt to seek improper benefits from the publication or peer-review process.
The Editorial Board shall not accept manuscripts that have been previously published elsewhere and must reject any manuscripts involving plagiarism. Serious and systematic measures must be taken to detect and prevent plagiarism.
The Editorial Board is required to select qualified reviewers with appropriate expertise relevant to the submitted manuscripts. The Board must not disclose any information related to the manuscript submission, review, or publication process to individuals not involved with the journal. In particular, the identities and information of authors and reviewers must be kept strictly confidential.
Reviewer Ethics
Reviewers must not disclose any information related to the manuscripts under review to others during the review process. Reviews must be conducted independently, objectively, and based on sound academic judgment, free from bias, conflicts of interest, or any attempt to seek improper personal benefit.
Reviewers should accept assignments only for manuscripts that fall within their areas of expertise and for which they have no conflicts of interest. If, at any stage of the review process, a reviewer becomes aware of a potential conflict of interest in any form, the reviewer must promptly inform the Editorial Board.
If a reviewer identifies plagiarism or determines that a manuscript has been previously published in another journal, the reviewer is obliged to report this matter to the Editorial Board.
Author Ethics
Authors are required to carefully review the journal’s aims and publication policies, scope, types of articles accepted, publication schedule, author guidelines, manuscript format and citation style, submission procedures, and any applicable submission or publication fees prior to submitting a manuscript.
Manuscripts submitted for consideration must not contain any plagiarized content. If authors use data, ideas, or content from their own previously published works or from the works of others, proper and clear citation must always be provided in accordance with the journal’s prescribed referencing style.
Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published or disseminated in any form and must not be under consideration by, or submitted to, any other journal prior to or during the submission process to the Graduate Law Journal. Authors must not submit the manuscript to another journal while it is under review by the Graduate Law Journal.
If reviewers provide suggestions for improving the manuscript, authors are required to revise the manuscript in accordance with those suggestions or provide clear and reasonable explanations if they choose to retain the original content.
In cases where the authors have received research funding or have any other conflicts of interest related to the manuscript, such information must be clearly disclosed in the manuscript and reported to the Editorial Board at the time of submission. All individuals listed as authors must have made a genuine and substantial contribution to the manuscript.
Authors must respect the opinions and decisions of the Editorial Board and reviewers regarding the selection, consideration, and evaluation of manuscripts for publication in the journal.
Ethics in Human and Animal Research
Manuscripts involving research on human participants or animals must receive prior approval from the relevant institutional ethics committee before the research is conducted and must comply with recognized ethical standards for human or animal research.
Authors must clearly state in the manuscript that the research was conducted in accordance with established ethical standards for research involving humans or animals.
