About the Journal

Aim and Scope

The Graduate Programs, Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, publishes the Graduate Law Journal with the objective of disseminating academic knowledge in various fields of law, including civil law, business law, criminal law, public law, international law, tax law, natural resources and environmental law, among others. The Journal also encompasses knowledge from other disciplines related to legal studies, such as the administration of justice. The publication of academic articles aims to foster the development of legal scholarship and related interdisciplinary fields. The Journal provides an opportunity for interested individuals to submit articles for publication and public dissemination.

The Journal accepts academic articles in various fields of law, including civil law, business law, criminal law, public law, international law, tax law, natural resources and environmental law, as well as knowledge from other disciplines related to legal studies, such as the administration of justice.

Types of Articles Accepted for Publication

  1. Academic Articles
    Academic articles refer to manuscripts that present legal analysis or critique, both theoretical and practical, which contribute to the advancement of knowledge or can be applied in practice.
  2. Thesis-Based Articles
    Thesis-based articles are manuscripts derived from a thesis, a part of a thesis, or an independent study.
  3. Research Articles
    Research articles are manuscripts written based on legal research findings, articles that provide a summary or continuation of research results, or articles that constitute a part of a research project.

Publication Schedule

The Graduate Law Journal is published once a year, in December.

Peer Review Process

Manuscripts that comply with the submission guidelines will be considered for peer review. Each manuscript will be evaluated by at least two qualified experts from various institutions who possess expertise in the relevant field. The journal employs a Double-Blind Peer Review process, in which the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are concealed from one another.

Article Processing Charges

Manuscripts submitted for publication in the Graduate Law Journal are subject to an article processing and peer-review fee of 2,500 Thai Baht per article. The author is required to pay the fee only after the manuscript has been preliminarily accepted for the peer-review process by qualified reviewers.

Authors who are lecturers, researchers, or students of the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, are exempt from this fee.
