ENERGY CONSERVATION MEASURES IN THAILAND : ENERGY CONSERVATION IN LAND TRANSPORT SECTOR

Abstract

Energy consumption in land transportation sector has been continuously increasing in every year but, at present, there are not direct legal measures to conserve energy in land transportation sector and also the enforcement of policy measures are not effective. These are different from Japan and Singapore who have direct legal measures of energy conservation in land transportation sector. Therefore, Thailand’s energy conservation law should be amended by adding measures of energy conservation in land transportation sector in order to capable and save the consumption of energy in land transportation sector.
