The Development of Knowledge Management Model for Local Wisdom in Indigo Dyed Textile

Abstract
This study aims to present a knowledge management model for local wisdom in indigo dyed textile in four northeastern provinces including Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Amnat Charoen and Ubon Ratchathani. There were three steps in conducting research. Research instruments were questionnaires, interviews, focused group interviews. The data were collected as follows: Step 1 - study the knowledge management model for local wisdom in indigo dyed textile. The survey sample consisted of 20 people and in-depth interviews with four members of the indigo dyed cloth group; Step 2 - draft and test the model by setting the focused group interview and testing the draft in the group; Step 3 – evaluate the suitability and feasibility from18 experts. Statistics, percentages, averages and standard deviation of the qualitative data were analyzed by content analysis. The research found that the knowledge management model for local wisdom in indigo dyed textile is collected and exhibited at the community learning center. textile: 1) The principle is to gather knowledge systematically;2) The objective is to self-develop the members of the group in knowledge management; 3) There are five steps in knowledge management: (1) indicating the knowledge (2) seeking for the knowledge (3) collecting the knowledge (4) exchanging and transferring the knowledge (5) applying the knowledge; and 4) the conditions for success are: (1) leadership and (2) corporate culture. The result of the experimental knowledge management model for local wisdom in indigo dyed textile of 16 members in the established group shows the satisfaction at the highest level with an average of 4.56.The evaluations of the suitability and feasibility from the experts show an average of 4.81 and 4.77 respectively.
