Abstract

Process of group counselling according to psychology by adopting psychotherapy of Sigmund Freud has the purpose in analyzingpatient togain intuition and leading to change their basic personality. The therapy process has 3 levels 1. Classic 2.Psychotherapy 3.Therapy with support. Therefore, the goal is to modify orto adjust the basic personality of the service recipients, to reduce the problemsby making the things suppressed in the sub-consciousness
level including ideas, feelings, and suppressed memories to appear in
consciousness. The group counselling skills according to the psychology is an important tool of the counselor which must be developed and trained for making it professional to find out the main cause of that problem. The group interviewing for counselling based of Buddhist psychology for the Vipassanā practitioners has the steps for counselling according to the four noble truths, to help counselling recipients for self-development in solving the problems by practicing according to the Magga (liberation) which is to live life according to the Trisikha (threefold training) which are Sila (virtue), Samadhi (concentration) and Panna (wisdom) by letting consultant being a mentor to guide the way to recipients. The group interviewing style for counselling based on psychology for Vipassanāpractitioners by integrating the counselling based on Buddhism and counselling according to psychology includes 1. Goal of counselling 2. Attribute of consultant 3. Dhammas/ concept in counselling includingTilakkhaṇa (three marks of existence), 5 Khandas (five aggregates) etc. Whereas, psychology theory are included with speaking skills, listening skills, repeating skills etc. the process of counselling has 4 steps 1. Relationship builds faith 2. Conversation opens mind 3. Enhancing dhamma adds wisdom and 4. Guiding way to practice.
