Political and society phenomenon that appears in poetry Pan Waen Pha Award of annual 2018

Abstract

This research article purposed to study political and social phenomenon that appeared in poetry awarded by 2018 Pan Waen Fha Award consisting of 13 stories. It is a qualitative research design and presented descriptive research results according to the concept of Somporn Mantasut (1981) and the concept of Santi Thippana (2015). The results were as follows: 1) Poetry presents the patriotism by mentioning the flag symbol although the flag is old or worn out, but remained the same. 2) Poetry presented the principles of democratic governance such as equality, right of liberty, acceptance of the opinions of each party, and respect the rights of others. 3) Poetry presented a different and independent thought reflecting that there are still people whose opinions are different. 4) Poetry presented the way to solve problem of democracy and social problem which showed methods to solve problem for everyone in the society to be aware of equality, respects liberty and rights, expression of thought and no bias. 5) Poetry presented Thai social problem highlighting the incomplete problem of the country. It has conflicts of thought and political ideology. 6) Poetry presented picture of playing in the past which was playing rubber jump with harmony and respected the rules of playing.
