Roles and Duties of the Award-winning Sub-district Leader: A Case Study of Thanom Wotong in Tambon Nahom in Ubon Ratchathani’s Tungsi-udom District

Abstract
The research aimed to study a background of the award-winning sub-district leader of Tamnbon Nahom in Tungsi-udom district of Ubon
Ratchathani province and the roles and duties of the subject under study. The samples were 63 residents derived by a simple random sampling and
interviews. The research instruments were the questionnaire and interviews on four aspects : personal conduct, leadership, administrative vision and strategies, and administrative skills. The research findings were as follows ; 1) Thanom Wotong played a key administrative role by being the village leader, the sub-district leader and member of Tamnbon Administrative Organization. 2) The roles and duties of Thanom Wotong were found to be of a high level
in four aspects : personal conduct, leadership, vision and strategies in
administration, and administrative skills.
