Buddhist Integration Management in Primary Schools under the Supervision of Bangkok Office of the Basic Education Commission

Abstract
This research aims at investigating the problems and obstacles of management; along with creating the Buddhist integration management and presenting
those management approaches to primary schools under the supervision of the
basic education commission, Bangkok office. According to the research
methodology, the researcher integrates the following methodologies; the
qualitative research for the document analysis—in accord to the Buddhist
concepts and the in-depth interviewing. Also, the quantitative method with 268
questionnaires is implemented for collecting the data, and they are eventually
analyzed through the descriptive analysis. The research results that in spite of
high evaluation scores on school management and development, the school
project and activity evaluation should be more systematic. Moreover, in order
to accomplish the effective development, the goals of each project should be the
explicit and the working process should be consistent to those aforesaid goals.
Additionally, according to the investigation on the patterns of Buddhist
management, it reveals the five dimensions being integrated with the Buddhist
concepts as follows: 1) academic dimension—the concept of basis for success,
2) personnel dimensions—the concept of sublime states of mind, 3) students’
activities—the threefold learning 4) general service and finance—good
governance concept, 5) external sector relations—the concept of bases of social
solidarity. Further, the possible ways of effective management for administrators
concern with implementing the concept of systematic management which consists of PDCA and merging the Buddhist Smart Model into the management as
well. This could be seen as the integration between educational management
and Buddhist concepts including: 1) S= Staff+ sublime states of mind, 2)
M=Money+ good governance, 3) A=Academic+ basis for success 4) R=
Relationship+ bases of social solidarity and 5) T=Talent+ the threefold learning.
