Language Usage reflecting Thai Teenage Behaviors through “ Hormones the Series ”

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the use of language that reflected Thai teenage behaviors through 13 episodes of “Hormones the
Series”, which was broadcasted through GMM One channel, by studying only dialogue scripts, a discourse. The results showed as follows; the results of the study were able to identify the behavior of the characters from all five major areas from the 48 discourses. 1) The classified behavior of the most common first that were found; (1) Sexual behavior with 15 discourses, or 31.25%.
(2) Emotional behavior with 10 discourses, 20.8 %, and (3) 7 discourses were found in emotional and sexual behavior, 14.5%. 2) The behavior from the characters was divided into two major groups; the individual and combinative ones, which found that: (1) 75 discourses of individual behavior, or 36 % and, (2) 12 discourses of combinative behavior, or 25 % 3) The most common first three characters showed their discourses included; (1) “Win” used 8 ones,
or 16.6%, (2) “Toey” used 7 ones, or 14.5%, and 6 discourses, or 12.5%
were found from “Toey’s friends”.
