Thai-Chinese Social and Cultural Capital for Promoting the Religious and Cultural Tourism in Ubon Ratchathani Province

Abstract

This research was determined to study Thai-Chinese social and
cultural capital about religion and belief in the sanctuary of Thai Chinese people in Ubon Ratchathani province for developing activities and setting the religious and cultural tourism program for the tourists who travel in Ubon Ratchathani province. The research was conducted by researching and
collecting information from academic documents. The results indicated that Thai-Chinese cultural capital reflected through the shrine or vegetarian
cafeteria under the administration by organization or foundation. The
researcher was set the scope of the study with 4 foundations and 1 vegetarian cafeteria within Ubon Ratchathani municipality and the nearby which were Samakkee Sawangbuchathammasathan Charitable Foundation (Warin
Chamrap), Ubon Ratchathani Charitable Foundation Social Welfare Section (Gee Tam Kao), Budhasetprathip Foundation, Gee Kong Ubon Ratchathani Foundation and HokTek Hook Tung Vegetarian Cafeteria for setting the
religious and cultural tourism program of Ubon Ratchathani province.
