Visitors’s Satisfaction on Facilities of Chaloem Phra Kiat Thai Prachan National Park, Ratchaburi Province

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to determine socio-economic characteristic,
general relevant information, contexts of Chaloem Phra Kiat Thai Prachan national park,
satisfaction levels and factors related to visitors’ satisfaction on facilities in Chaloem Phra
Kiat Thai Prachan National Park, Ratchaburi province. Data were collected by employing the
designed questionnaires to interview 368 visitors of Chaloem Phra Kiat Thai Prachan national
park during May – July 2021. Statistical analysis methods employed for testing the setting
hypothesis were t-test and F-test with the given significant level at 0.05 (p-value = 0.05)
The results of this study indicated that most of the respondents were male, and
with the average age of 36.13 years. Their educational levels were at vocational certificate –
diploma degree. Agriculture were their major occupation, and their domiciles were in the
central/eastern region. The objectives of the recreational visited were to relax, spend time
withtheir familiesor groups, and toexperiencetheir first visit. Chaloem Phra Kiat Thai Prachan
national park was the rich forest with abundant forests in the same corridor of Kaeng Krachan
National Park withPhachi river and wildlife sanctuary connected to Myanmar. It isa mixed forest.
The important tourism attractions are namely Pong Krathing hot spring and Bangkama
hornbill viewing point. The facilities were bathroom, housing, a camping area, a car parking, a
tourist service center, nature trails and various interpretative signs. The visitors’ satisfaction on
facilities in Chaloem Phra Kiat Thai Prachan National Park were at ahigh level with the average
score of 3.94. Factors related to visitors’ satisfaction on facilities in Chaloem Phra Kiat Thai
Prachan National Park were objectives of their visiting and types of visitor group.
