People Opinions on Community Land For Living Project, Ban Ko Khon Thi, Pak Nam Sub-district, Muang Ranong District, Ranong Province

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to determine socio-economic characteristics and general information of people in community land for living, studied the level of opinions and factors affecting people opinions on community land for living project Ban Ko Khon Thi, Pak Nam sub - district, Muang Ranong district, Ranong province,
by using the design questionnaire interviewed 114 households head or the representative. Statistical analysis methods employed for testing the setting hypothesis were t-test and F-test with the given significant level at 0.05

The results of this study indicated that the most  respondents were male 55.70 percent with their average age was 49 years. Their majority 77.30 percent graduated from primary school and 64.85 percent were fishermen. Their total household income were 50,000 – 100,000 baht/per year, 58.00 percent and total average household income is 65,045.45 baht/per year. Their average household members were 3 persons. Most of their settlement in the same occupy land were 94.30 percent. They had average land holding ​​0.46 rai and familiarity with forest officer were 86.36 percent, receiving information about mangrove forest resources conservation 85.23 percent, having experienced in mangrove forest resources conservation 77.27 percent and having knowledge about mangrove forest resources conservation with score 9.51. People opinions on community land for living project with an average 3.26 (more agree). Factors affecting people opinions on community land for living project Ban Ko Khon Thi, Pak Nam sub - district, Muang Ranong district, Ranong province were land holding size, familiarity with forest officer, receiving information to mangrove forest resources conservation, having experience in mangrove forest resources conservation and having knowledge about mangrove forest resources conservation.
