THE STUDY OF LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT OF GRADE 9 STUDENTS AT SUANKULARB WITTAYALAI SCHOOL THROUGH THE USE OF AN INSTRUCTIONAL PACKAGE FOR READING THAI MUSICAL NOTES BASED ON LEARNING THEORY FOR AESTHETICS DEVELOPMENT PROPOSED BY ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR DR. SUGREE CHAROENSOOK

Abstract

The purposes of this research are (1) to develop an instructional package for reading Thai musical notes based on the learning theory for aesthetics development as suggested by Associate Professor Dr. Sugree Charoensook for Grade Nine students at Suankularb Wittayalai School, following an 80/80 efficiency standard and (2) to study the learning achievement of Grade Nine students at Suankularb Wittayalai School after using the instructional package to practice reading Thai musical notes. The results of this research show that (1) the instructional package achieved an efficiency level of E1/E2 (84.93/85.53) which was higher than an 80/80 efficiency standard; and (2) the average pre-test score of students using the instructional package was 6.66 and their average post-test score was 34.21. The results of the comparison between the pre-test and post-test results were 21.26 with a statistical significance level at .05. Therefore, the learning achievement of students after using the instructional package is significantly higher according to the comparison between their pre-test and post-test scores, and these results are aligned with the research assumption.
