A STUDY OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL OBJECTS MANAGEMENT AT KELANG-NAKORN MUSEUM AT PRA-JEDI SAO-LANG TEMPLE LAMPANG PROVINCE

Abstract

This research article aims to study antiques and artifacts exhibited in Kelang-Nakorn Museum at Phra Jedi Sow Lang Temple and to propose a model for the management of antiques and artifacts for learning and conservation. According to the results of study, the Kelang-Nakorn Museum is a local museum which is very unique and there are a huge variety of antiques and artifacts displayed in the museum. Therefore, the flexibility in the exhibition technique and pattern of how antiques and artifacts are displayed is recommended; the conventional exhibition and display technique cannot be applied with the museum. The exhibition and display technique should make the museum become a learning center for locals and other people who are interested in these antiques and artifacts. The useful information should be provided to visitors in the brochures explaining the history of the museum and exhibition. The important pieces of antiques and artifacts should be displayed to encourage the visitors to realize the importance of cultural resources leading to the sustainability in the future.
