An Application of Role Play for English Speaking Class

Abstract

In the English-speaking classroom, the teacher needs to bring a new teaching method, approach, or an activity that can be improved or developed students’ speaking ability. In particular, the language classrooms of TEFL faced with the low attraction in learning. It is possible to get a bit of chance in English using in daily life. Moreover, the unconcerned activities were brought into the lesson without any encouragement or motivation. Therefore, the writers had the most intention in Role Play that applied easier in the English-speaking classroom. The role play activities can be used for developing the students in language’s practice. The outcome of language ability is the ability of English speaking in their social (Skehan, 1998: 213). Moreover, the positive attitude is the result of an understanding, the accuracy, and a benefit after learning the language. (Krashen, 1987: 21)
