Affecting Factors for English Speaking Anxiety of Bachelor Degree of Arts in English Mahamakut Buddhist University Isan Campus

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study affecting factor of English speaking anxiety,Bachelor of Arts in English students, Mahamakut Buddhist University Isan Campus. The researchers collected the data from 56 English students in Faculty of Humanities, English Major academic year 1/2560 by questionnaires, and analyzed the data by percentage, mean, standard deviation, One-Way ANOVA statistics. The research found that 1. Male and female were not different with anxiety in speaking, except in self-unconfident and uncomfortable to talk English with friends (t = 4.00) and (P-Value = 0.092). 2. The mean average of speaking English divided by ages were found that it was different with significant statistics level (F = 6.529), (P-Value <= 0.05). 3. The mean average of speaking English divided by years was found that they were different with significant statistic level (F = 6.268), (P-Value <= 0.05). 4. For the affecting factors of English speaking anxiety of Bachelor of Arts in English students, Mahamakut Buddhist University Isan Campus, there were found that the students had anxious feeling at high mean levels, and the highest anxious mean levels to speak English were number 12: “you are worried about grammar mistake (3.68), no. 8. “you fear your friend laugh at you when you mistakenly speak (3.64).
