The Management of Basic Subjects of Phraparityattidhamma Pālī Section in Kosamphi Nakorn District, Kampaeng Phet Province

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to: 1) tudy the learning management process of Phrapariyatidhamma Pālī Section, Kosamphi Nakhon District, Kamphaeng Phet Province; 2) develop the learning management of the basic subjects of Phrapariyatidhamma Pālī Section, Kosamphi Nakhon District, Kamphaeng Phet Province; and 3) propose an integrated Pālī learning management model with the basic subjects of Phrapariyatidhamma Pālī Section, Kosamphi Nakhon District, Kamphaeng Phet Province. It is a qualitative research by researching  documents and the tools was used in-depth interviews with 26 key informants by purposive method and data were analyzed by descriptive content.

The research results revealed that 1) the learning management process of Phrapariyatidhamma Pālī Section, Kosamphi Nakhon District, Kamphaeng Phet Province has five steps: (1) public relations; (2) the ordination of children; (3) Learning management planning; (4) student orientation; and (5) preparation before Pālī Examination.

2) To develop the learning management of the basic subjects of Phrapariyatidhamma Pālī Section, Kosamphi Nakhon District, Kamphaeng Phet Provincw has five important factors for the development of learning management, namely: (1) the condition of educational institutes; (2) Learning management; (3) Using IT should get enhance study skills; (4) linking knowledge online; and (5) measurement and evaluation content to made student’s know both of worldly and spiritual aspects.

3) an integrated Pālī learning management model with the basic subjects of Phrapariyatidhamma Pālī Section, Kosamphi Nakhon District, Kamphaeng Phet Province can be classified into 3 forms as follows: (1) Learning management model as normal system are general and  block courses curriculum; (2) Learning management model as non-formal education and informal education (NFE); and (3) Learning Management Model with Experiential-Based Basic Courses. The body of knowledge are: administrative factors, curriculum development factors and factors in learning style for the monks to gain both secular and religious knowledge suitable for modern society.
