Development of Student Characteristics in the Faculty of Business Administration, Private Higher Education Institutions. การพัฒนาคุณลักษณะของนักศึกษา คณะบริหารธุรกิจ สถาบันอุดมศึกษาเอกชน

Abstract
The purposes of this study were 1) to investigate the student characteristics in the Faculty of Business Administration, private higher education institutions, 2) to develop a training package to enhance the student characteristics, and 3) to study the effectiveness of the developed training package. This study was a research and development research in which it was divided into 3 stages. The first stage was to investigate the characteristics of students in the Faculty of Business Administration, private higher education institutions. The samples were 880 students in the academic year 2019 selected by using stratified random sampling method from sixteen private universities in Bangkok. Data were gathered from questionnaires and analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis statistics.The second stage was to develop a training package on the element of self and social responsibility which posted the highest Eigen value at 16.989. The training package was evaluated the appropriateness and congruence by a panel of seven experts, using a Chi-Square Test. The third stage was to study the effectiveness of the developed training package by implementing to 25 third-year students in the Faculty of Business Administration at Krirk University. The students were evaluated their characteristics and their satisfaction. Data were analyzed by using mean standard deviation and t-test for dependent sample and individual sample statistics. The results indicated that 1) the student characteristics consisted of 9 elements as follows: 1) self and social responsibility, 2) knowledge of business administration, 3) problem solving and decision making, 4) innovative thinking, 5) management, 6) the use of information technology, 7) leadership, 8) learning and self-development, and 9) being an entrepreneur. 2. The developed training package consisted of the matters of rational, concepts and principles, objectives, contents, activities, time frames, materials, measurement and evaluation, and two learning units: self-responsibility and social responsibility. The Training packages were appropriateness and congruence at the significant level of .01, and 3. The student characteristic after using the developed training package was higher than before using the package at the significant level of .01. Moreover, the students satisfied with the training higher than the set criterion at the significant level of .01
