Research and Publication Ethics
Publication Ethics
1. Manuscripts considered for publication in the Academic Journal of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Thepsatri Rajabhat University include research articles, academic articles, and review articles that demonstrate critical analysis, synthesis, commentary, or the presentation of new knowledge, theoretical perspectives, and emerging issues. All articles must reference credible sources or scholarly theories.
2. Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere. All published articles are the intellectual property of the journal. Re-publication in any form requires formal permission. The opinions and viewpoints expressed in the articles are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the editorial board.
Editorial Ethics
1. Editors are responsible for overseeing the operation of the journal to ensure alignment with its stated aims and objectives. This includes the assurance of academic quality, compliance with international ethical standards, and transparency of the peer review process.
2. Editors must not have any conflicts of interest with authors or reviewers, in order to maintain fairness and uphold professional ethics.
3. Editors are required to preserve the confidentiality of both authors and reviewers throughout the peer review process. The journal employs a double-blind review system.
4. Editors must not accept manuscripts that have been previously published. All submissions are subject to rigorous plagiarism detection using the Copy Catch software integrated with the ThaiJo 2.0 system. The similarity index must not exceed 20%. If plagiarism above the acceptable threshold is detected, the review process shall be immediately terminated and the corresponding author contacted for clarification prior to any decision regarding acceptance or rejection.
5. If misconduct related to research or publication ethics is discovered post-publication, the editor shall formally retract the article and notify readers and all relevant indexing databases accordingly.
Author Ethics
1. Authors must certify that the submitted manuscript has not been previously published and is not under consideration by any other journal.
2. Manuscripts must comply strictly with the journal’s formatting and citation guidelines, as outlined in the Author Guidelines.
3. Authors must not falsify, fabricate, distort, or selectively omit data to manipulate the results of the study.
4. Author names, including any co-authors, must be clearly indicated in the manuscript submitted via the ThaiJo 2.0 system.
5. All content—including text, images, and tables—taken from external sources must be properly cited to avoid copyright infringement. In cases where plagiarism is detected, the journal reserves the right to immediately withdraw the manuscript and disclaims any legal responsibility, which shall be borne solely by the author.
6. Upon receiving reviewer comments, authors are responsible for revising the manuscript according to the recommendations and resubmitting within the specified timeframe.
Reviewer Ethics
1. Reviewers must apply academic and ethical standards when assessing manuscripts. Evaluation should be based on the significance, scholarly value, and accuracy of the content. Reviews must be conducted without bias, personal judgment, or self-interest.
2. Reviewers must maintain strict confidentiality and not disclose any content of the manuscript to third parties during the review process.
3. Reviewers are expected to provide clear, constructive, and unbiased feedback through the evaluation form in the ThaiJo system and submit their review within the designated timeframe.
4. Reviewers must not use any part of the manuscript for their own work, except by proper citation after the article has been officially published.
5. If a reviewer detects redundancy or duplication with previously published works, they must immediately notify the editor and indicate the reason in the comment section by selecting “Reject for publication.”
