Romantic Discourse in Luk Krung Songs Sung by Sarawanee Bodhithes

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study romantic discourse appearing in Sarawanee Bodhithes’s Luk Krung songs. 57 songs sung by Sarawanee Bodhithes were choosen from the 1st - 6th album. The findings show five categories of love discourse in Sarawanee Bodhithes’s Luk Krung songs including unrequited women, love as honesty and stability, love as karma determines, love as suffering and love as power. All mentioned discourses revealed diversity of the author's ideas towards romantic discourse which reflecting the love that affects the feelings of people in society. In addition, romantic discourse is not just an expression of love, but also reflects the thoughts and beliefs of people in the society, which were presented in Luk Krung songs of Sarawanee Bodhithes are.
