Abstract
This article focuses on design concepts, design methods, layout, styles, forms, proportions, patterns and symbols used in Thai pavilion architecture (sala Thai) designed by Pinyo Suwankiri.

Sala Thai has historically associated with Thai society, both in terms of Buddhist beliefs and the monarchy. Sala Thai is a small-scale architecture built as a public charity, regarded as a sign of generosity. Currently, Sala Thai has been selected as one of Thailand's national symbols and used as a present of friendship to foreign countries on important occasions, or as a part of a project that aims to highlight the uniqueness of Thailand in both public and private sectors.
The results of this study is a documentation and collection for a pedagogy of Thai architectural design at the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, as well as knowledge for architects, and public interested in Thai architecture.
