Learning activity development through cooperative learning, TAI technique in Mathematics strand entitle “plus, minus and multiply to decimal number” for Pratomsuksa 5 students

Abstract

                  The objectives of learning activity development through cooperative learning,  TAI technique in Mathematics strand entitle “plus, minus and multiply to decimal number”  for Pratomsuksa 5 students were to 1) identify the efficiency of learning package through cooperative learning,  TAI technique in Mathematics strand entitle “plus, minus and multiply to decimal number”  for Pratomsuksa 5 students with the criterion set 80/80, 2) identify the effectiveness index of the lesson plans based on Learning activity development through cooperative learning,  TAI technique in Mathematics strand entitle “plus, minus and multiply to decimal number”  for Pratomsuksa 5 students, 3) compare learning achievement score between before and after employing the Learning activity through cooperative learning,  TAI technique in Mathematics strand entitle “plus, minus and multiply to decimal number”  for Pratomsuksa 5 students, and 4) to determine the satisfaction level of students towards Learning activity through cooperative learning,  TAI technique in Mathematics strand entitle “plus, minus and multiply to decimal number”  for Pratomsuksa 5 students.  32 students of Pratomsuksa 5/1 in the 2^nd semester  academic year 2015  of Wat Nue Municipal school, Roi - Et municipal ,Roi – Et were selected as the sample group through cluster random sampling, for the class was assigned based on mixed learning ability. Research instruments were learning package on plus, minus, and multiply the decimal number, lesson plans based on cooperative learning, TAI technique in Mathematics strand entitle “plus, minus and multiply to decimal number” for Pratomsuksa 5 students, learning achievement test, satisfaction questionnaire. The collected data was analyzed through percentage, means, standard deviation, and the t- test.

                  The results were as follows.

                  1. The efficiency of the developed learning activity based on cooperative learning, TAI technique in Mathematics strand entitle “plus, minus and multiply to decimal number” for Pratomsuksa 5 students was 86.7/80.43 which was higher than the criterion set 80/80.

                   2. The effectiveness index of the developed learning activity based on cooperative learning, TAI technique in Mathematics strand entitle “plus, minus and multiply to decimal number” for Pratomsuksa 5 students was 0.5589 or at the percentage of 58.89.

                  3. According to the comparison of learning achievement score between before and after implementing the developed learning activity based on cooperative learning,  TAI technique in Mathematics strand entitle “plus, minus and multiply to decimal number” for Pratomsuksa 5 students, the post achievement score was statistical significance higher than the before at confidence level of 0.05.

                   4. According to the students’ satisfaction towards the developed learning activity based on cooperative learning, TAI technique in Mathematics strand entitle “plus, minus and multiply to decimal number”  for Pratomsuksa 5 students, as a whole the level of satisfaction was “very much” (=4.86,SD. = 0.35).
