DEVELOPING GUIDELINES OF ADMINISTRATION TO THE BASIC EDUCATION STANDARDS OF SCHOOLS UNDER THE OFFICE OF SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA 20

Abstract

         The objectives of this research article were 1) to study the current state and the desirable state of administration to the basic education standards of schools under The Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 20, 2) to develop guidelines of administration to the basic education standards. The sample group consisted of 346 administrators and teachers. Key informants were administrators and teachers from 3 pilot schools and 5 luminaries. Research instruments were questionnaire, interview and guideline assessment form. Statistics for analyzed data were percentage, mean, standard deviation and PNI_modified.

          The research result were found that; 1. The current state of administration to the basic education standards of schools under The Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 20overall were at moderate level and the desirable state overall were at high level. 2. The guidelines of administration to basic education standards consisted of 8 components, 28 indicators, 45 guidelines as follows: 1) the educational standard setting 5 guidelines, 2) the preparation of educational management development plans of educational institutions that focus on quality according to Educational standards of educational institutions 9 guidelines, 3) management system       and information 5 guidelines 4) implementation of the educational management development plan of educational institutions 5 guidelines 5) education quality monitoring 5 guidelines, 6) The internal quality assessment in accordance with the educational standards of the educational institutes 5  guidelines, 7) the preparation of the annual report of the educational institutes 5 guidelines, and 8) the development of the educational quality 6 guidelines, the results of guidelines suitability assessed and guidelines possibility assessed both overall were at a high levels.
